White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is expected to provide a media briefing on Tuesday.

The White House and lawmakers were still nowhere near to a deal on Sunday for the next COVID-19 aid package, with the biggest sticking point being the US$600 per week in extra benefits for people laid off from their jobs, which Democrats want to keep the same while the Trump administration and some Republicans are pushing for a reduction.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump is demanding Beijing-based ByteDance sell its stake in TikTok, or else he'll ban it. Trump says the popular app could threaten national security.
