Brazilian researchers look into samples of virus before first case

Brazilian researchers are studying samples of the novel coronavirus found in the country much earlier than Brazil's first official case. They are trying to understand how the virus has evolved since. The virus was found in frozen sewage samples in the southern state of Santa Catarina dating back to November 2019.
