Protesters demanding justice for Daniel Prude clashed once again Thursday night with police in Rochester, N.Y.

Eight people were arrested during the protests, according to police. Police also said two officers were taken to hospital with injuries, but have since been released.

Prude, a 41-year-old Black man died of “complications from asphyxia” in March, seven days after officers put a “spit hood” on his head and pressed his face into the ground.

The case is now under investigation, with the mayor announcing Thursday that the seven officers involved had been suspended with pay in relation to Prude’s death.
