The BBC has apologised after a picture of footballer Raheem Sterling was mistakenly shown during a sports bulletin about a rape allegation against another player. The still of Sterling appeared on a screen behind presenter Mike Bushell while he was delivering a TV report on BBC News. The story regarded another unnamed player who had been arrested on suspicion of rape. The BBC said the error was down to a 'technical failure.'
